“God delivered me from prison, crime and devil`s arms,” declares jolty Ezequiel Alves, 45, inhabitant of Pato Branco, Paraná. “I was already a dangerous, lost, dirty man. I was sentenced to prison and ran away five times from there. I spent seventeen years of my life in crime. I just did people`s life harm. My last sentence was 22 years in prison, which made the grand total of 48 years regarding all of the sentences I had to be in jail. I robbed, committed homicides. Among all of the mistakes I made it was only Lord`s mercy to keep me alive.”

God touched Ezequiel through the program on TV in prison. “The last time I was arrested, I was trying to sleep when someone turned on the TV. It was on the show of the Worldwide Church of God`s Power and the Apostle Valdemiro Santiago was asking for contributions and offerings to the church. I changed the chanel and felt deep inside of me something heating making me come back to that chanel. Today I know it was the Holy Spirit guiding me to listen to Lord`s message through the Apostle. I returned to the chanel and God`s man was preaching saying that if we believed, God would take us out of prison. I started crying. I held this message for my lifetime and decided to believe in it. I kept watching the TV program and fasting to God for thirty days. I thought if this message really belonged to God, Lord would make me free from that place in thirty days.”
