“I used to be drunk all the time, so much cachaça with lemon that I used to drink. So, I started to use drugs, and I spent five years under addiction”, tells Jailson Umbilino dos Santos, 37. “Because of the night life, addiction, I got involved with dangerous people I had a shot in my chest, which pierced from one side to another, one centimeter away from the heart, without affecting any vital organ. I spent eight days in the ICU; then I was released without sequels.”

Jailson said his mother, Laurita Santos, was the channel for his victory. “I met Jesus through my mother who showed me the TV program of the Worldwide Church of God`s Power. She spent five years praying for my life in campaigns of prayers, shedding many tears at dawn because of me. Jesus heard her prayer and saved me from the shot, protected my life because He had a plan for me. After accepting Jesus as my Savior, I couldn`t stand alcoholic drinks and drugs anymore.

God delivered him from alcoholic drinks as well as drugs. I had a shot in my chest, which pierced from one side to another, one centimeter away from the heart, without affecting any vital organ. I spent eight days in the ICU, and then I was released without sequels. Today, my life is to glorify the Lord of my salvation.”
