“For fourteen years, I used drugs. I used all kinds of drugs, such as marijuana, crack, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, even drugs like opium, merle, as well as several tranquilizers. If it were drugs, I used”, says Antônio Carlos da Conceição, 42, resident in Santo Amaro do Maranhão, Maranhão.

“One day, I was listening to the radio, high, when I found the program of the Worldwide Church of God`s Power. The message touched my heart and I started to cry. So, I asked God on that day for Him to deliver me from the addiction and to change my history. Jesus was merciful to me and He reached me; He heard my clamor and made me feel disgusted at drugs. Today, I`m a servant at the Lord`s house, delivered, helping to rescue other lives who are still slaves of drugs”.
