God rebuilds what it is destroyed

“I destroyed my life and my family`s as well as many others that I had contact”

“I got into drugs when I was ten years old. When I was thirteen, I was into the criminal world, making my first robbery”, says Dario Girardi Yasumura, 33, resident in Santo Antônio de Posse, São Paulo. “I spent twenty years of my life as a slave of addiction. I started with marijuana, then I used cocaine, after that I robbed; drug dealt as well as other crime. I destroyed lives”.

Dario says that he spent eight years and ten months of his life in jail according to the justice. “I was arrested twice by FEBEM (Fundação Estadual para o Bem Estar do Menor – the Foundation for Child Welfare) and other two times I served the sentence in a jailhouse. I destroyed my life as well as my family`s and also many others I had contact. I used to get home high and used to make my parents and my wife suffer.”

According to Dario, it was his wife who met God and started seeking God for their lives. “She used to come to seek a solution for our lives here, at this church, insisting on persuading me to come together. When I arrived here to follow her for the first time, God met me. I got to know Jesus’ love through this ministry and here God delivered me from drugs and from the world of crime. It`s been seven years since my life changed. I glorify and thank God for His mercy”.
