"I met the Worldwide Church of God`s Power passing by it on the street two years ago. I remembered a friend who attended it and I decided to get into on a Sunday near 5 PM. As soon as I walked in, a pastor came to me and heard my situation, "reports Luiza Teresa dos Santos, 49 years old.

"I had lost everything. I spent more than 40 years with psychiatric problems. With seven years of age, I was diagnosed with depression and treatments. At seventeen, I tried suicide for the first time, and with nineteen years old, I tried again. I tried to have a normal life, but I was always in trouble. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia Paranoide. I heard voices, and I was considered crazy.

According to Luiza, "there were better times, I got married, studied arts, had kids and a good life, but it didn`t bring me happiness or changed my condition, the moments were short between periods of intense madness, in 2005, I lost my husband to the disease. I didn't remember about having shower, threw furniture against my husband, and would cut my wrists all the time. He left and I continued those treatments, which were almost fifteen years, but without any result. I was alone with my two children, living in an apartment over our financial conditions, living off his pension. Gradually, the housekeepers left and I needed to give furniture as payment. I starved with my kids, I faced hard times among rats, unable to get the apartment, unemployed and suffering with mental illness. I felt doomed when I met this work and, when I told the pastor, he prayed for me and determined my healing and a complete change in my life. The love of God reached me that day and I knew that I was free for the glory of the Lord ". Today, Luiza's life is quite different. "God gave me healthy mind. Currently, I attend a course of social welfare, discuss academic affairs with comfort and precision, take care of my kids, I've got a job, I have prosperity, I live in peace. I'm a worker of this Ministry, which became an integral part of my life. Here, I learned to value the word of God, to love the Lord, to talk about Jesus, being offeror, tithing Member, living every day involved with God in prayer, to survive and to be grateful for all he does for me. "
