“I suffered four strokes, one after the other. I came out of a heart attack, the other one starts then, without giving a chance for recovery. The pressure went up non-stop and no remedy more took effect, the doctors said that they could do nothing more and that only God could cure me”, tells Antônio José Simões, 67. “In addition to the pressure stroke, during them, I caught pneumonia that lasted 40 days. I was in serious condition and the result of all this was a profound depression. I came to try suicide four times without success.

At that time, I had no faith; I did not believe that God existed. I just thought I was going to die, I was losing my mind and I couldn't bear to suffer so much, I couldn't even sleep. One night I found the television program of the Worldwide Church of God`s Power and I saw miracles; I heard the word and wanted to see with my own eyes because I had seen much deceit using the name of God. I got ready at home and came to the Worldwide City of God's Dreams.

When I came here, I found the true God and I feared that he was the one who was angry with me and that he would not accept me, but the god of this work revealed love and saved me. I came on a Saturday, with fear if I could get alive and God cured me, accepted me and sent the depression to hell. After that, my pressure regulated, the sequels of the heart attacks are over, I never suffered anything again and I know that I will not, for the glory of God "
