"Ex-tetraplegic" back to walking

The medical team had already given up teaching; no specialist believed that the movements would be recovered

Returning to practice as a teacher is a miracle for the Maran Rodrigues de Lima Leal, 52 years old. The educator was disillusioned by the medicine after suffering a car accident, fracture the neck in three points and the 4th, 5th and 6th vertebrae of the spine. The multiple lesions left her quadriplegic, an irreversible condition, according to experts.

"I signed the document proving that my wife was quadriplegic. From the neck down, she did not stir anything and today she walks, drives, works. Live her life calmly, "said Marli's husband, who is responsible for the woman's recovery care.

There were many days in the hospital undergoing various examinations and procedures, but, no hope of cure. Weak, Marli's body can not respond and develops a widespread infection. "The doctors sent me home because they believed that these would be my last days of life. My father-in-law came to São Paulo to attend a service here in the City of Dreams and a pastor hugged him and decreed my cure. When I moved again, I went to the wheelchair and then I started to walk normally, nor did I need crutches. "
