Elijah was a prophet and Ahab was a king. In kings 17:1, we see it was different in the past. The kings used to check prophets. Today, a lot of things have changed because prophets bend themselves at their kings` feet. It`s a mistake because I just bend myself before the King of the kings. Elijah was a brave prophet, like all good prophets, who knew he was before Him, God`s face.
Elijah prophesized that not even mist, or rain would fall, not according to God`s Word, but according to his word. During all of his life, Elijah said it was by God`s Word, but against Ahab. He was so irritated that he said according to his word against the king who mistreated him as well as God`s people
Even in moments of drought, there`s wet grass because of mist. But the prophet, who is before God`s face, when he said there wouldn`t be mist, there wasn`t because God honors his words and shuts Heaven. We are very small to the world, but if we are before God, when we open our mouth, God honors us and make it happen The prophet thought what he said over because there wasn`t even water to him, but God sent crows to sustain Elijah. God doesn`t depend on anything, what He wants to do, He will. He doesn`t check anyone and anything, it`s the other way round, He challenges science and does what He thinks it`s good before His eyes. Elijah was a different person because he lived for his faith. To him, the crow was a signal of hope. The one, who lives for the faith, may find himself in any drought, or any harsh condition and will always be sure of his victory. Elijah`s confidence in God was big, he was given food, abundance by God and the same will happen to us if we are confident in the Lord all the time. God provides men with power, but they have to know what they say. Elijah was affected by the same drought he prophesized. Many evil situations that happen to our lives are caused by our words. Maybe you are undergoing some kind of drought, but what you have to do now is to prophesize to have water. Because of Elijah`s words, it didn`t rain, and while he didn`t pray, God wouldn`t make it rain. Instead of complaining about life, about circumstances, pray to the Lord. Elijah was much bigger than we, but even so, drought affected him. God ordered the prophet to leave and walk to a certain place and God fed him with the best through crows. Later, the prophet received the order to walk to a widow, completely thirsty. He met the woman collecting firewood and asked for water to drink. Sometimes, we get to such an extent that we think it`s the end of line. You can plan everything, but if God doesn`t allow you to have, you won`t have anything. Elijah`s word was just fulfilled because he was before God Likewise, God ordered Elijah to go there because the widow would feed him. Even not having food, she fed him because you may not have anything, but if God says you will have, you have it. God says for you not to worry because even if your river gets dry, He will fulfill it with water again in your life. When the prophet says, it happens, but when God says, you should celebrate, church! Years later, after God provided this widow with conditions, her son died and she charged Elijah. That woman had access to a prophet just for her. Elijah prayed to the Lord, explained the situation, through prayers and God`s Power, the boy lived again. That woman knew, before meeting Elijah, she and her son would die, but when they got healthier, the widow forgot about the greatest miracle of prosperity seeing her son dying and she cried, complained about the loss of her son. When Elijah gave her son alive to her, she recognized then he was God`s man and the Word he preached was true. Drought doesn`t mean seeing the river flow, it`s not to see your life thriving. God orders you, if your life is this way, prophesize. Rejoice yourself, thank Him, and celebrate because if your faith is in God, this river will be full of water, your life will be fulfilled in the presence of God
