Prayer is a duty

Constantly, you have to pray and never giving up in order to be connected to God.

In Luke 18.1, we find the duty of praying constantly and never wither. Duty is obligation. God never obliges us anything but prayer. He imposes us the obligation of praying, that is the obligation of talking to Him. It`s not just in hardship and that`s a big mistake people make when they think we have to pray just in difficult moments. The Bible says that prayers don`t have special moments or days to be made, they must be frequently made.

In happy or sad moments, in accomplishments and tears we have to pray. Prayer is the link that connects us to God. When you are on shore of a river and want to cross it, it`s necessary to go over the bridge which connects both sides. Prayer is a bridge, which connects the human being, the creature to his creator that is God

When a person prays, he opens a link with God. The prayer must be part of Christian`s life. Everyday we have to have prayer moments, when we wake up, go to sleep, before a meal, among many others. The prayer must not fade away. The day that it fades away, the answers to our lives do too. Every time you pray, God will answer you. The answer may not come the right moment we would like it to. We are not able to lead time because it belongs to God. God heard that prayer you made and if the answer doesn`t come right away, be sure that, according to God`s time, it will come. Nothing done to God is in vain. The prayer is not an option. There was a judge who didn`t want to answer a widow a while. There are many things in our lives that are not answered right away, even if we need it. God lets things happen that way. The first time the widow was before the judge - God could have broken that man`s heart in order to answer her, but He didn`t - there are moments in our lives that God wants to know how big our confidence is and our prayer goes; until what extent we are willing to persevere. God didn`t answer that woman immediately, He waited a while to see whether she would give up, complain, murmur, pray, fast, rely, keep herself at His feet. Many people say they do it, but before a resistance of God, many of them give up, stop praying, stop fasting, start looking for things they shouldn`t and give place to wrong thoughts. That woman knocked at the judge`s door for some time There are moments in our lives that we give up, but some time in the future, God shows us we shouldn`t have done it. God gives us a time to think because it would be too convenient if all of our wishes came true like magic. There would be a moment when men wouldn`t look at God with love, but with necessity. My love for God has to be above all else. It`s enough for God to look at us to make things change. Even so, many people get sad, give in, think that they wasted their time at the church with God, should have enjoyed life longer, but there are tears that just God can see. Take into account what is said. Although you think it`s taking too long, but God tells you that soon, He will provide you with justice. We have to follow the instructions from God, always pray, never give up, never weaken, and never stop praying. If I never give up and overcome the obstacles – addiction, problems, and diseases – He will provide me with justice in my life very soon. Shortly, people will look at your life and they will see the blessing of God in it. Those people won`t be aware of how many times you bent your knees, how many tears fell from your eyes, how much you struggled. Likewise a birth, what is taken into consideration is the baby not the period of pregnancy. Just few people talk about the nine months of it. For us to get to our target, we need to live this widow`s experience. As Jesus said, “wait for the judge to answer us”. Did Jesus say that when He comes back He would find faith on earth? Because at that time, many people, who prayed, gave up as well. They shipwrecked in faith to give in to men. The moment they needed to be closer to God, they gave up. Never do it, never be away from God. Neither resistance nor time has the objective of making us give up. It`s for us to become stronger, wiser, and better prepared for what we will have in our lives. They don`t exist for us to lose, but to win. Keep praying and persevering in your life top be with Jesus until His return or His departure. If He comes back earlier and you live longer enough to see it, He will find a faithful church in you. Behave the way the Word teaches us, with prayers and perseverance. That`s the way to win.
