Set Your Heart Just In God

“The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” 1 John 2.17

At the first Epistle of John, God teaches us we don`t have to love the world. “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.” 1 John 2.15 God created the world, but not the sin. Maybe you ask yourself, why can`t we love the world? It`s because the sin got into the world, unfortunately. So, things from the world don`t do any good to us. “For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father, but from the world” I John 2:16. The curse, the poverty, the richness, the violence, and everything that the sinning generated are flesh concupiscence. In other words, they are every steady desire of attitudes, which may upset God. That condition places us away from Christ. Then, put your heart just in God and never in things, which belong to the world. Clothes, food, assets are just our necessity; therefore, they are not important. For example, you need clothes to get dressed, isn`t that right? That`s a necessity. You have to feed yourself in order to live, right? It`s also a human necessity. You have to understand that temporary things are necessities and we do not have to love them above all else; eternal things that come from God are very important, and you have to put them into your heart as a whole because they are worthy.

We have to live in this world, but we don`t have to be from here. Never accept the sin in your life under the excuse of everyone sins because you are one of the living God`s sons; you are the salt of this land, and you live in the light. In case of allowing the sin to come into your heart and to dwell there for any reason, pray now and ask God for forgiveness; ask the Lord for coming back to your life. God, with His unconditional love for us, will forget about your past actions and will start a new life with you.

Never forget that we were clean with Jesus Christ`s blood spilled on the cross. He underwent all of those situations for our lives. He died for us and on the third day, He resurrected and then returned to Heaven, but He also said that one day He will come back to pick us up, Halleluiah! Do people good wherever you go. Talk about Christ`s love to everyone who crosses your path, and also tell them the changes that the Lord performed in your life out loud. Everything the world offers is temporary. Just God is everlasting and He left us a message: “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever” I John 2:17. Will you follow the path of the world that drives you to death or God`s path that drives you to Heaven?
