In Psalm 40.1 David says that he waited in the Lord patiently and what makes you wait patiently is to rely on God and be sure that you will win. There`s a piece of land that emanates milk and honey waiting for you; a lifestyle that is possible just for those who serve Jesus We have to be hopeful. Our Redeemer is alive and our life is testimonial. None of us was made to be a slave, even if everything seems to be impossible or your life seems to be at the bottom of the well. When Lot and Abraham came to the fork, Lot saw a beautiful side and decided to go for the land that seemed to be the most plentiful, and let Abraham have what was left; it was just sand and desert. Abraham dwelt in the land of Canaan, and it was desert. Lot lived in woodlands. Before Abraham getting in Canaan, the place was defeated and that's the difference. Among believers, as well as Abraham and Lot, there are differences. There are believers who just believe in green fields, in woodlands and there are believers who believe in the promise of the living God. One group believes in what you see and another group believes in the promise. Those who believe in what they see will be lost. Sodom and Gomorrah were extinguished. But those who believe in the promise will have milk and honey in their land of Canaan. But this is much later. When Joshua and Caleb arrived in Canaan, it was a land of milk and honey because God gave you and me the power to turn desert into oasis.

Believe in the promise of God, because it exists and happens. God has called us to win. Abraham was the person who had promise in life, but not Lot. Lot took possession of Abraham`s belongings and God provided Abraham with double of what he had before in a place where it was impossible to thrive. Abraham was not only rich, but very rich and left an example for his children and grandchildren.

David was in the dust, in the gutter, in a pool of mud, as he describes in Psalm 40. A pool is like a swamp, which dries out. Even so, he starts stating that he waited confidently in the Lord. Sometimes, we value only when we see the promise. Be aware that what God promised you is certain to happen. Abraham did not see the same that lot, but had faith that place would change and God has changed, while the garden that lot chose, turned into ashes. We want easy conditions and we ignore what God can do to us. There are rivers that flow in all directions and rivers suffer from dams, but God wants us to be running in a straight line. That's why He says He's going to fix your life and make it straight. Don't want to cut rounds or give up your cross; do not cut your cross. Imagine that you will cross a river on it and, if you cut, it won't hold up all the way long and you're not going to get to the other side of the river. God improves His Church through our life, because look what God has done to our lives, will also surrender and join God. So far, David bears fruit in your life with testimony. Psalm 40 still fills people with strength. We will also bless many people. God's thoughts and wishes toward us are wonderful. In Jeremiah 29, God says through the Prophet that His desire is to meet the desires of our hearts. Job went through a struggle, but it was what he wanted. It's when you arrive on the edge that God says He will renew you so He begins to perform great miracle in your life.
