Have you ever heard of someone who pawned a house, a place, a farm, or even an alliance, but have you ever heard of someone who had to pawn their children? I do not think so, but that was the situation the widow was living in. She went to the prophet and said that her husband was fearing the Lord and had died, and that his two sons would be taken as payment. "And one woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha, saying, My husband, thy servant, is dead: and thou knowest that thy servant feared the LORD: and the lender came to take my two sons to be servants, "2 Kings 4: 1. Elisha asked him what he could do, because he did not own a bank, that is, humanly he could do nothing. That woman did not need much to believe in the power of the Lord, because she did what was ordained, "Then he said, Go, borrow, from all your neighbors, empty vessels, not a few," 2 Kings 4: 3.
There are days when our faith is up there, but there are days when our faith is down there. Imagine the moment the creditor came to get the two children, how was the woman's faith? Think of the scene, the lender came and said, "According to the contract I came to get your two sons," ah at this hour, that woman's faith must have gone down there.
But when the servant of the Lord gave the command she said, "Here am I," she did not look at the instruction and did not question him, but only obeyed. When we believe that order comes from God, and we obey, the word is fulfilled in our lives. And that's exactly what happened in that family's life. Obey my brother, and so he will live great miracles.
