The Lord is almighty and can do everything, but what we need to do He will never do for us. The gospel says that there was a family that Jesus loved and this young man called Lazarus, died. By dying, one of the greatest miracles registered in the bible, described in John 11:1 and on. Lazarus was diseased and it was terminal. Jesus knew that Lazarus disease was terminal. His sisters sent people to warn Jesus that Lazarus was very ill. By the time Jesus received the news, He calmly said that the disease wasn’t for death, but for the glory of God. How a disease could be for the glory of God? Maybe you won’t understand. It isn’t the permission of the disease what God has pleasure in or for the glory of God. The happening of the disease didn’t come from God. People attribute bad things to God as if they were plagues casted upon us. That is not it. God don’t do us any harm. The salary of sin is death, we sow what we plant but we blame God for what happens. This isn’t new. When Jesus arrived at the village where Mary, Martha and Lazarus lived, Martha said: “If you had been here, my brother would not have died”, suggesting that that it was Jesus fault. It is nobody’s fault because we are all going to die, some sooner others later. Jesus said with detachment apparently, because to God what would be the difference on the way of dying, making a disabled walk or healing a stomachache if all the diseases and everything are below Him? . There is no difficult thing to God. God was enraged with David when He asked him to fight, He questioned, trusted his own strength and in how many men he had instead of going against the amorites, as if he has forgotten that is God who dives victory and he could have gone alone because would make him victorious. Jesus arrived calm because He was in control. If there is something annoys me, forgive me, is when we prophesized the cure or victory on someone’s life and, after the prophecy, the person wants to explain how big is the problem as if the problem was bigger than God. Telling the history of how they got the disease instead of how they received the victory, telling the history to diminish your faith and the prophet’s faith. The same praying that cures a HIV is the same one that cures the headache. People create difficulties to things that are meaningless for God. What if Jesus came earlier and Lazarus was cured? Jesus arrives and right after Lazarus is resurrected. It doesn’t matter if you are alive or dead, when Jesus says that He will do, He does and it’s done.

He is the God of impossible. We, human beings, see layers of difficulty and we classify the problems, but for God it is all so small and easy. Jesus calmly received the message, finished what He had to do and just then he went to the village to manifest the glory of God, despite of Lazarus was alive or dead.

The problem when the work of God is not done is not God himself, but in us. The lower the vision, the less we will see the glory of God and the higher the vision, the more we will see the glory of God in our lives. The disciples followed Jesus and they understood that Lazarus was sleeping, not that He was sleeping eternally as a deceased person. When Jesus arrives before Lazarus’ tomb, He did nothing, He just stopped because he faced a situation that didn’t depend on Him, it was on who wanted to see the miracle. What Jesus couldn’t do, He asked and waited on those around Him: to remove the rock. Removing the rock is not something Jesus was supposed to do because it is our duty. Jesus resurrects the dead. Removing the rock was way easier. Jesus could remove the rock, but removing the rock must be our doing. The Lord can open doors for you, make you sit among royalty, turn a homeless person into a business person, taking you out of misery and putting you among the greats, but He can’t give the tithe for you. He can’t surrender your life to Him on your behalf. It’s up to you. God will make you grow, but you need to surrender. There are many blocked works, forgotten dreams, and all because of moments that we don’t do our parts, that we don’t take action. We have to act or the work will never happen in our lives. Fight and ask, as many times as you need. Jacob needed to unclog the pit several times until his enemies went away. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. You can’t get tired, God’s children don’t get tired, we don’t give up and we don’t surrender to the devil. Don’t let delusion and weakness stay in your life, Abraham’s son. You have to fight until the end. While you have dreams we will be in position with our heads looking up, until the end of days.
