Open your Bible in the book of Matthew, chapter 23 and verse 23, says the Lord: "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye tithe the mint, the dill, and the cummin, and despise the most important of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith; but you must do these things, and not omit them. " What is more important, punctuality or fidelity? Fidelity, do you know why? Because being on time is not synonymous with being faithful. Understand that the scribes and Pharisees were not faithful, but punctual. Everything that came into their hands separated them for tithing, but they left the most important thing there, and that is why Jesus called them hypocrites. Understand that it is not that Jesus forbade tithing, but it is necessary to be faithful to Him, that is, to return the tithe, and to practice law, judgment, mercy, and faith. God does not want you to be punctual, to give back the tithe and end, no, He wants you to walk with Him, to practice what the Bible teaches. Know that the eyes of the Lord are upon the believers. The Holy Bible tells us that once Jesus was watching the rich deposing their offerings, and suddenly a widow came, who gave only two coins, and He said that the woman was the one who offered the most, do you know why? Because she gave all that she had, she was faithful to the Lord, the rich already, they gave what they had left, they were only punctual. (Passage is in Luke 21). That widow was truly faithful, because regardless of the situation she was living in, she was faithful to the Lord.
Today, I ask you: Is it easy to be punctual? Yes, of course it is. Because when you have enough, it is easy to help others. Is it easy to be faithful? So my brother depends, only he who keeps the Word of God is faithful, but the faithful help the neighbor in any situation.
You know dear, your fellowship with God does not have to depend on your situation, but it must be true. Because if He does, He's God, but if He does not, He's still God! And even if everything is difficult at the moment, keep walking! Because the best of God is to come, and it is behind, it is past, what God has for you is ahead! Surely your faithfulness to the Father will take you far! Amen? God bless your day!
