Planting seeds

To fruit in abundance you must choose the right place with good soil

Accommodated by the sea, Jesus teaches the disciples a parable that would become one of the greatest emblems in the Christian milieu. A sower goes forth to plant his seed. In the bag that carries them, it takes much more than mere seeds, every little dot that must win the land represents part of their hope for future and sustenance. Unappealing, as he begins work, he leaves some of the seeds falling on the road. Birds quickly eat what is wasted, disrupting their life cycle.

"Behold, the sower went forth to sow. And when he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured it, "Matthew 13: 3b, 4. The question is: will fruit be born in the womb of the bird? Not!

The fruit is only produced by falling into the ground if it is planted properly. What do these seeds mean to the birds? It is the unfocused people who do not pay attention, do not absorb the teaching given them. They "put away" the Word of God, treat it as something of no importance or value, and therefore fail to flourish in many areas. There are so many distractions capable of stealing our blessing that Christ still counts two other ways of how the sower has lost some of his seed. May your choices be inspired by the Spirit of God and generate the expected fruit. God bless your day!
