Express Your Heart

God knows all your feelings

When things get out of control and we get upset, head down, there is nothing better than a good conversation with a friend to ease the heart. We tell everything, detail by detail, and the person listens to us with all the attention of the world. We feel safe and comforted, ready to go on. Cultivating good friendships and having trustworthy people to get support is very good, but do you know how the Bible expects us to behave in those moments?

"Is any among you suffering? Pray. Is anyone happy? Sing praises, "James 5:13.

The Word of God guides us to pray. It is with the knees bent that the Christian overcomes difficult days and breaks with the impossible. It is not to act as a victim of situations and to lament over the songs. Heaven expects you to take on the posture of someone who trusts fully in the Lord to the point of expressing all your feelings, whether they be joyful or sad. He already knows them, for he probes his heart, but he is educated and gives him the alternative of opening himself or not. Now, if you are living a time of celebration, celebrate worshiping God with music. Sing to him a new song thanking you for everything you've achieved. We must follow the biblical standard. There is no "way" or shortcut that works just as well as fulfilling what is in the scriptures. If one is sick, one should call the elders of the church to pray and anoint one with oil (James 5:14). It is no use entering into the state of distress and despair, this will not bring a solution. Healing comes as an answer of obedience as we do the counsel in James. Acting differently is the same as taking medicine for fever if you have pain in the belly. It does not make any sense. Do as the Word teaches. God is your Father, trust your heart to Him and your way will be full of victories. God bless your day!
