In the Company of God

Moses was a wise person who had already experienced the best that the luxury and comfort of the time could offer while living in the king's palace, being created with all the perks. When surrendering to God, the picture changes, and he becomes a fugitive for a time, living in an uncertain way, without even a place to sleep. When God calls you to lead the people to a new challenge he places a condition to obey the invitation: "If your presence does not go with me, do not bring us up from this place," Exodus 33:15. This demonstrates the fear he carried in his heart and the great desire to have God as company at all times. Moses recognized that without Him, no difficulty could be overcome.

It is in the presence of God that grace is manifested.

Moses was sincere and very truthful. For him there was no meaning to live without the presence of the Creator. That is the difference of a faithful servant. It is someone completely dependent on the power of heaven. The people who do this are rewarded by rest in the midst of the desert: "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest," Exodus 33:14. The psalmist David recognizes this assurance that the Almighty gives us in chapter 90, verse 1, of the book of Psalms: "Lord, thou hast been our refuge from generation to generation." Who never cared about tomorrow, with bad news, some threat? I have lived many deliverances and understand why Moses said this to God. He learned this lesson in the wilderness when only the Lord could help him. It's when you're on the edge, deep in the well that acquires that principle. In God, you are protected, do not be afraid. He loves you and will deliver you from all evil. Have a blessed day!
