Ready for the upset

The arrival of the New Year awakens the desire to be blessed and many appeal to the beliefs that God condemns. Stay faithful to the Lord!

The turn of the year is surrounded by crendices. It is very common for people to start sympathizing in pursuit of prosperity, love, and health. They buy clothes of certain colors to wear on December 31, eat certain foods, are able to spend even what they do not have just to "guarantee luck". In the political environment, there are also changes and people create great expectations believing in new times and that will happen improvements for the population. Already, in the artistic medium, the professionals of the area renew their contracts. Companies generally repackage their staff and implement new strategies. These superstitions, very traditional in the New Year, have a root. Birth is the same where all things arise: the word of God. Which can be used for good or evil, depends on the intention of the heart. In the book of 2 Kings 13: 20b, it is written, "Moabites used to invade the land at the beginning of the year," 2 Kings 13: 20b.

It was at this time that Israel was in terror: they saw their sowing being stolen by an enemy people. It had become a custom for the Moabites. As the last days of the year drew near, they began to prepare their men to invade the lands of God's people in order to take possession of the houses, food, and money they had gained with the sweat of hard labor.

The Bible says that it was so for quite some time until there is a political change happens with the death of King Hazael, ruler of Syria, and of Jehoahaz the leader of Israel. His children take the highest seat in their respective countries and God interferes in the course of history, allowing Jeoas to recover all the cities that were taken from the holy people. Do not deal with mysticism, just seek God. Luck is not guaranteed in the strength of your arm. After all, what can you guarantee for tomorrow? Keep praying, reading the word and seeking the presence of the Father. He will give you everything you need. God bless your life!
