If you wish to see the Son of God use your faith and Christ will reveal Himself to you

In the New Testament, we find the story of a man named Zacchaeus. He held an important place in society and was feared for being a tax collector. His work earned him a lot of money and status, yet he carried a void that no material material was capable of filling. Finding out that the Son of God would pass in the region hurried to see him, however, he could not.

"Behold, a man named Zacchaeus, chief of the publicans and a rich man, sought to see who Jesus was, but could not, because of the multitude, because he was of a small stature" (Luke 19: 2, 3).

Pity that physical size was not the only characteristic that Zacchaeus had in the diminutive, his honesty was also small. When charging taxes, whenever possible, he abused authority by asking for values beyond what citizens should pay. Zacchaeus was an unhappy fellow. His wealth was unlawful and the people hated him. He had no freedom or pleasure in living because he accumulated money that did not fit him. Bringing it to the Bible, this explains a lot why you could not see the Lord. In Matthew 5: 8, we understand that only those who are pure in heart will see God. Unfortunately, the interior of that man was full of lies and corruption, it was necessary to clean first. Only Jesus could do that. The positive part was his attitude and the desperate desire to see God. The obstacles did not stop him from trying. Without thinking twice, he climbed a fig tree and attracted the attention of the Master who invited him to come down and approach. How many cousins were in that crowd? I'm sure many. Why was he the only one who was predisposed to climb that tree? Encounters that change people's lives do not happen anyway, there has to be a burning intention in the hearts and that little one carries it. When Christ calls him, Zacchaeus turns his image of an unjust man back four times as much as he had stolen. His act is acknowledged: "And Jesus saith unto him, There is salvation in this house today, for this also is the son of Abraham," Luke 19: 9. Riches, fame, success. You can conquer many things, but if you do not experience a deep experience with the Father you will lose the best part. May your heart be clean to see the action of the Creator in every moment.
