The value of an alliance
When the people suffered at the hands of Pharaoh, the Lord remembers the covenant that he made with Israel and frees him

Gemer is a deep expression of suffering. In the book of Exodus in chapter 6 and verse 5, the Bible states that God heard "the groanings of the children of Israel, which the Egyptians enslave." The oppression that Pharaoh put upon the people was so great that they could stand no more and cried to the Lord for help. What good father does not go to his children when he sees them cry? The same verse from Exodus tells us that the Creator remembered the covenant he made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This covenant extended to all of the house of Israel.
"(...) I will be with you and bless you; for to you and to your seed I will give all these lands ... "(Genesis 26: 3).
God promised to be with them and deliver them. But the people felt abandoned. Slavery made them forget the promise that they carried and survived under the circumstances. If Pharaoh punished them, they tried to endure; if the leader left the burden lighter, they followed with less pain. When Moses is raised to deliver them and seeks them to share about the departure of Egypt is not taken seriously because they were blinded by servitude, could not see beyond and have faith that something could change. It was as if they put all their hope in Pharaoh. Are you moaning too? Are you suffering from the trials that seem to increase every day? Are you moaning for your son who is in the world of drugs or husband sunk in drink? Know that the word of God says that it is "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted," Matthew 5: 4. If the tears do not stop to wet your face in the place of prayer, you are blessed and today the Holy Spirit touches your interior with grace and strength to go through this phase. Lift your head, wipe away the tears and let the Almighty put a smile on your lips. God has not forgotten the covenant he made with Israel and also remembers what he did with each of us through Christ on the cross. Our covenant is final with the spotless, holy blood of the Lamb. "... the blood of Christ, who by the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, will purify our conscience from dead works, that we may serve the living God" (Hebrews 9:14). Have a blessed day!
