After the miracle of the multiplication of loaves, Jesus forces the disciples to follow by boat to the opposite side of which they were. He keeps firing the crowd to the last person and goes up to the mountain to pray. While Christ spent time with the Father, his apprentices ventured into the sea. The more distant the waters deepened and the path became more dangerous. It is as in the parable of the Prodigal Son, the further from God we walk, the more the wind blows against us. And in the case of the disciples, the waves seemed to try to swallow the vessel because the contrary wind was very strong. It was already dawn when the Son of God appears walking on water to interfere with the situation. When they see him, they think they are a ghost and are frightened. Peter throws himself into the challenge and asks to imitate the steps of the Master. His daring gives him an extraordinary experience.
"And he said, Come! And Peter, coming down from the boat, walked over the waters and came to Jesus, "Matthew 14:29
In his capacity as God, Jesus knew that his men would be cast into a wild sea when he "compelled" them (Matthew 14:22) to enter the ship. Just as I knew the problem, I had the solution. Here we learn two important facts: "It's not the problems that come to us, it's us who come to them. Our life is like a road, a very long road that ends up facing different obstacles, and we must always continue. Perhaps, if the disciples had not stopped, they could, later on, overcome the storm and lead the boat through calm waters; and "From God's point of view, the difficulty is not to destroy our dreams. It not only allows for difficult circumstances but also causes us to walk toward you to experience the supernatural. Isaiah 43: 1b and 2 advise us to feed the hope of winning: "Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I called thee by thy name, thou art mine. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; when, through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you; when you pass through the fire, you will not burn yourself, nor will the flame burn in you. " Note that the verse is not speaking conditionally "if it passes", but warning us that we will have to live thorny circumstances, but when we pass we have the guarantee that we will not be alone. May your day be filled with the Presence of God and make sure that Jesus walks by your side, always ready to help.
