Walk in the presence of God

Your life will only be safe, guaranteed in the presence of the Lord Jesus

The word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amitai, saying, "Be ready, go to the great city of Nineveh and cry out against it, because its malice has come up to me." Jonah was willing, but to flee from the presence of the LORD, to Tarshish; and, having gone down to Joppa, he found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid for his ticket and embarked on it to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the LORD. But the Lord blew a strong wind over the sea, and there was a great storm in the sea, and the ship was about to fall apart. Then, the sailors, filled with fear, each cried out to their god and threw the cargo that was on the ship into the sea, to relieve him of her weight. Jonah, however, had gone down to the cellar and laid down; and slept soundly. The master of the ship came to him and said to him: What is the matter with you? Clinging to sleep? Get up, call on your god; perhaps, then, this god will remember us, so that we may not perish. And they said to each other: Come, and let us cast lots, so that we may know because of whom this evil has befallen us. And lots were cast, and the lot fell on Jonah. Then they said to him, Tell us now, because of whom this evil has come upon us. What occupation is yours? Where are you from? What is your land? And what people are you from? He answered them, I am a Hebrew and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the earth. Jonah 1: 1-9.

Even if you are a prophet or knowledgeable about the Word of God, you have moments of weakness and madness. For what happened to Jonah was an attitude of madness and despair, he was trying to escape the presence of God. But then Jonah came to himself and saw that he needed to hear the voice of God.

When a man decides to walk in the presence of God, he has all the benefits, because the Lord gives him! Our guarantee of life has to be in God, not in ourselves! For without the Lord we are nothing, Jonah tried to walk with his own strength and it did not work, because he saw that it was necessary to do the will of the Lord Jesus. Your life will only be safe, guaranteed in the presence of the Lord Jesus. Do not defy the Lord, do His will. May you have a blessed day!
